SUBMISSION INFORMATION
NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS -

 

 
The general public will complete the judging; those receiving the most votes will win that category.
A panel will check that all submissions meet the criteria for their selected category before being released to the general public.
 
All film and television stunt entries must have been released between March 1 and December 31, 2022. This excludes the category ‘Outstanding Stunt' (any time period).

Selected category submissions must be UK citizens.
TV submissions: TV/commercial production must have occurred within the UK.
Film submissions: Film production can be outside the UK.

All submissions must be received by 27TH FEBRUARY 2023, SUNDAY 23:55.

 

All submissions (excluding stunt coordinator-related categories) must include timecodes for the start and end of each stunt sequence.

 

The total view duration from start to finish must not exceed 3 minutes. 
Clips from the same stunt sequence can be put together to produce a total clip no longer than 3 minutes.

 

For example, a stunt may last for about 4 minutes; therefore capture the best parts of the stunt to deliver a video clip of no more than 3 minutes.
 
The complete film/programme/commercial video material is considered for the stunt coordinator-related categories.
 
Any submission failing to provide timecodes for the start and finish will be marked void. 
Any submission where the video clip duration is beyond 3 minutes will be marked as void.

FILM 

BEST OVERALL MOVIE STUNT BY A BRITISH MALE STUNT PERFORMER OR PERFORMERS
This award is for the best overall stunt performed by a Male (or males) in film. Stunts in all film categories are eligible as long as they fit the eligibility criteria.  In addition, it may be nominated in another category.
Up to 3 awards presented for winning category.
BEST OVERALL MOVIE STUNT BY A BRITISH FEMALE STUNT PERFORMER OR PERFORMERS
This award is for the best overall stunt performed by a Female (or females) in a film. Stunts in film categories are eligible as long as they fit the eligibility criteria.  In addition, it may be nominated in another category. 
Up to 3 awards presented for winning category.
 
BEST FIGHT IN A MOVIE
This award is for the key stunt performers; for fights with or without weapons within film. Such examples include street fighting, boxing, wrestling, and martial arts. In addition, it may be nominated in another category. 
Up to 3 awards presented for winning category.

 

BEST VEHICULAR STUNT PERFORMANCE IN A MOVIE
This award would be given to the key stunt performers / stunt drivers where appropriate. The award is for driving work involving vehicles of any type. Stunts can include crashes, turnovers, ramp jumps, etc. In addition, it may be nominated in another category. 
Up to 3 awards presented for winning category.

 

THE BEST ACTION SEQUENCE IN A MOVIE
This award is presented to the Stunt Coordinator for best action sequence in a film.  In addition, it may be nominated in another category.
1 award presented for winning sequence.

TELEVISION

BEST SPECIALITY STUNT
This award will be given to the stunt performer. The award is to recognise stunt work not covered by another category. Examples include specialist areas such as working with animals, water work, rollerblades, etc. Stunts in film, television, or commercials categories are eligible as long as they fit the eligibility criteria.  In addition, it may be nominated in another category.

BEST HORSE WORK
This award will be given to the best horse stunt performer, within a film, or television episode motion of any genre, or commercial. In addition, it may be nominated in another category.

BEST HIGH WORK 
This award is for the best stunt work at height performed in film or television of any genre, or commercial. In addition, it may be nominated in another category.

BEST WATER WORK 
This award is for the best stunts on or under the water in film or television of any genre or commercial. In addition, it may be nominated in another category. Examples include anything from falls off waterfalls, to speedboat chases, to drowning sequences, cars going into lakes, tip-tanks wiping people out, flash floods. In addition, it may be nominated in another category.

BEST OVERALL COORDINATION BY A STUNT COORDINATOR
This award goes to the Stunt Coordinator for best stunt coordination throughout an entire film, television drama / film / episode; or broadcast commercial. In addition, it may be nominated in another category.

THE JOE POWELL AWARD
This award is presented by the committee in memory of stuntman Joe Powell. Considered by many in the U.K as the Godfather of the British Stunt business. It's presented to an individual who has, over a period of time, given through performance/coordination or backing, they're very best to the stunt industry.
